Looking forward to Saturday night!

I'm looking forward to my BIG show this Saturday night 7:30pm at The Riverview Cafe and Wine Bar right across from the Riverview movie theater in the Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis. It's only a few blocks from Rob's house which makes it even more delightful for me. I get to play music with Rob which is always a treat because he really puts the full weight of his personality into his performances and I love that about him. He takes that shit serious if you know what I mean. He's all business when it comes to making music. Isn't that great? I love that!
Secondly I get to work with our MC for the evening Mister Magic Marc Percansky who is truly one of the most magical people I know. Magic Marc has an eye for whimsy and a head for business. He's the sort of person who always treats everyone with respect and always conducts himself with dignity. He's a truly kind person and he loves his twelve year old doberman Ruby. And any guy who loves his dog, I'm sure you will agree, is a great guy.
So we will put on a full two hour...or even a little longer...concert and we'll have CDs of the new single "The Sun Shines On Ruby".
We'll play the song for the very first time live too!
As you who follow this blog of mine know, every day is not sunshine and roses, but tomorrow will be!

P.S. Today I am sending in my application for the McKnight Fellowship for creative writing that I told you about, with my new writing sample of 25 pages of "Sidney: Book Three". Wish me luck!
