Welcome to Magic Marc Productions Blog!

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen and incredible Kids! Welcome to my first blog post and the official launch of my new website! I hope you like it?  I will be updating it on a regular basis so please subscribe or keep checking back from time to time. This is Blood week, what I am talking about is the big concert coming up this Saturday evening, Blood On The Tracks Live! Taking place in my hometown of St. Louis Park. You will not want to miss it!  It is going to be a solid three hour show with no breaks and from what I understand the final Blood concert ever! It will go out with a bang and is expecting to have a record breaking crowd and will feature many new additions to the musical lineup, another whose who of the finest players anywhere! Please come out and show your support and be a part of this great community event!

My involvement goes back to March of 2004. Paul Metsa called me up and asked me if I could recreate the Subterranean Homesick Blues classic video from Don’t Look Back with the cue cards on stage while Martin Devaney sings a song.  I said sure, what song is he doing? Paul said Lily, Rosemary And The Jack Of  Hearts. I said Paul that song is almost 10 minutes long and has 15 verses! That is alot of cue cards to make! In the end I agreed, the concert was at The Pantages Theatre, the place was sold out and I do remember getting a standing ovation for that song which was nice! Struck up a friendship with the CEO of it all, Kevin Odegard and have been friends with him ever since. This week and concert I dedicate to him for all he has done  and bringing in the Guitars For Vets organization to this event http://guitars4vets.org/ I can’t say when you drop the needle down on the record anymore or even when you pop in the Compact Disc so I will just say whenever you hear the sounds of  Tangled Up In Blue ring out, that is the sound of Kevin’s Martin Guitar playing.  The Minnesota musicians who are playing on 5 tracks from what some say is Bob’s finest album are and have always been credited in my book!  They are in the Minnesota Rock and Country Hall of Fame http://www.rockcountryhall.com/induct025.htm and I am very honored to be a part of what is known as the Bob Mob! Hope to see you at Wolfe Park Amphitheater this Saturday. Show time 6:30pm-9:30pm. No Breaks!
