Louie Kemp in response to "Garrison Keillor rips Bob Dylan in his latest book" - Star Tribune
Mr. Keillor,
It is a sad day when a once respected broadcaster finds it necessary to foolishly attack the most accomplished and respected American songwriter ever. It is unfortunate that you find it necessary to criticize the only songwriter to ever be awarded a Nobel Prize in Literature to get some attention for your fading existence... People who know the uncompromising essence of Bob Dylan know that he would not have appeared on your show... when you had one.
Minnesota’s most well known native son does not covet attention and did not attend the Nobel Prize ceremony. Your opinion on Bobby’s songwriting is misguided and makes you look foolish and out of touch with world wide opinion and acclaim.
Garrison, I suggest you heed the words of Bobby: “Don’t criticize what you can’t understand“
May God Bless you with clarity and inner peace.
Respectfully,
LOUIE KEMP, Los Angeles
The other boy from the North Country
